Bakes and Roti were always a special treat. Back home in Guyana, my mom made them from scratch. When I moved to Canada my step-mom continued the tradition.
I love the smell of Bakes and Roti. I didn't think I could make them on my own but I knew I had to try. They were just too good.
Please enjoy this website as I share with you the ups and downs of creating my favorite two dishes.

My family is my inspiration. Born in Guyana and raised in Canada food was one of the ways I was able to stay connected to my culture.
Now a father of two girls it's amazing to see the joy my baking brings to their face.
